    Automatic Meter Reading System Solution

    AMI system is applied to read and collect power consumption information from meters by master station through communication technology. It is a long distance from the master database server to concentrator to transfer data by using GPRS, CDMA, RF, etc; for the short distance from concentrators to meters, we adopt PLC and RS485. AMI is also supporting switching on or off the meters remotely.
     
    Power utilities are now adopting meter reading and management system to replace the existing residential manual meter reading system, which is able to save the cost of human resources, cut down the meter reading cost, meanwhile realize real time meter-reading efficiency and improve successful reading rate; besides, AMI system could decrease the manual reading error rate; to prevent fraud from dishonesty manual meter reading operator, cut down the loss of power utilities, to monitor residents power consumption status, timely alarming will be sent once discovered abnormal event; At the same time, able to read and collect high accuracy master meter, line loss can be calculated and analyzed.
     
    Developed by Java language, AMI system can be installed in a variety of mainstream operating systems. Using three-level structure(users end, application server, and database server) with J2EE ass system framework, it also supports Oracle, SQL database. Core business processing logic as the form of Middleware is deployed in one or several J2EE application servers. System designed to take full account of the current wide distribution of power utilities customers, more access points, as well as large differences in scale of electricity supply, which has good openness, scalability, flexibility, high reliability and so on. Adopting a large number of advanced computer technology and communications technology, it can meet the need of the power utilities for a new environment very well.
